Hi Thomas,
I doubt you will remember me, but you have had a profound impact on my life. You used to run on the treadmill
at The Alaska Club West in the mornings at the same time my dad and I would be there and that is how we
ended up meeting. I was just starting to get seriously interested in tennis at the time (I had barely made varsity
and you somehow got me selected for the high performance tennis clinic that was being hosted at the North
Club. You were the first person that showed any interest in developing my skills and I am so happy to have
finally connected with you so I can say thank you.
You used to hit with me before I knew anyone and taught me footwork drills which came in handy later in my
career. I ended up getting a full scholarship to play in college, where I studied business finance, and went to
Nationals three times with my team. Though I have had several coaches over the years, you are
single-handedly responsible for getting me seriously interested in the sport and for opening some doors which I
wouldn't have been able to do on my own.
Tennis has given me a lot of opportunities and experiences that have helped shape my life and mold me into
the person I am today. Like I said, you probably don't remember me but I just wanted you to know how much I
appreciate the attention and help you gave me when I was just starting out,so, thank you, so this is several
years overdue.
